Chestnut Hill is home to The Sivel Group and our office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Fox & Roach Realtors. We love it!
Chestnut Hill is a neighborhood in the Northwest section of Philadelphia and is one of the city’s most beautiful and historic communities. Centered around Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill is surrounded by Fairmount Park and adjacent to the Philadelphia neighborhood of Mt. Airy as well as the Montgomery County suburbs of Oreland, Wyndmoor and Lafayette Hill. It feels like a rural suburb while being just a short drive or train ride from Center City Philadelphia.
Germantown Avenue, the main street running through Chestnut Hill, features all different types of shopping, fine dining, and is known for its walk-ability and charm. The homes here range from modest townhouses to grandiose, sprawling estates. Chestnut Hill was designated one of the top seven urban enclaves in the USA by Forbes.com and selected as a 2010 Distinctive Destination by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The local parks and arboretums include Pastorius Park, the Wissahickon Valley portion of the Fairmount Park system and Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania.
