Haverford is located on the Main Line about 10 miles west of Philadelphia and is a part of both Delaware and Montgomery Counties. Haverford College, a leading liberal arts undergraduate college known for its academic rigor, Honor Code, and beautiful arboretum campus can be found here. Haverford is also home to many notable country clubs including one of the United States oldest, the Merion Cricket Club. The U.S. open is hosted at the Merion Country Club and the PGA Championship at Llanerch Country Club. Haverford has a rich history that can be explored while cycling or walking along the Haverford Heritage Trail. In addition, Haverford offers a variety of recreational parks and buildings as well as a library and the Skatium. Commuters have easy access to central Philadelphia using the Paoli/Thorndale Line and Norristown High Speed Line.
