It’s Guest Day on Real Estate & Ramblings, and you know what that means: good stories, big personalities, and a few side-eyes from Michael about the Phillies' season.
This week, we welcomed one of our favorite creative powerhouses: Oscar Mikols, founder of OM Media—the guy who makes homes look like they belong in Dwell (because sometimes, they actually do). Oscar’s journey started from snapping pics of food for his mom’s café, then, when in college and bartending, he met a regular who asked Oscar to photograph his house…. and suddenly this snowballed into a full-blown photography business. One random bar regular going through a divorce handed Oscar a camera opportunity—and a check. Boom. OM Media was born!
Now? He’s got a 15-person team, a portfolio that includes $3M homes, and the kind of architectural eye that makes our listings pop. If you’re wondering if Michael’s hype video featured Oscar’s magic, the answer is YES—and the soundtrack was The Who’s “Eminence Front” (because what’s a hype video without a little 80s moodiness?).
Oscar shared how he balances real estate’s seasonal rollercoaster by tapping into hospitality, golf, and branding work—and yes, he’s a daily user of AI (including for suggestions on how to deal with Michael, though we’re not sharing that prompt 😅).

Our Director of Sports (and real estate extraordinaire), Amin, makes sure the TSG team hits at least two games a year—and he hits the streets with first-time buyers across the city.
Amin brought the heat with real talk about today’s market:
- Inventory is tight. He recently went up against 15 other offers at the $459K price point.
- Waived inspections and $30K over asking... still not enough. Wild 😮
- He’s big on education, starting with a solid walk-through. HVAC, hot water tank, cracks in the foundation—he helps buyers know what’s up before they get attached.
The age-old question: To inspect or not to inspect? We don’t have all the answers, but we know this—Amin’s got the experience and attitude to guide buyers the right way.
Oh, and if you were wondering, yes, he and CJ are basically real estate teamers—tag-teaming open houses and putting other agents to shame. ("They not like us,” as Michael says.)
