At The Sivel Group, we know a thing or two about multitasking. We juggle open houses, closings, and client calls with grace. But behind the scenes, some of our most impressive balancing acts have nothing to do with real estate and everything to do with motherhood.
This Mother’s Day, we’re honoring the incredible working moms on our team. These women are top-tier agents, tireless nurturers, late-night homework helpers, sideline cheerleaders, and the glue that holds their homes together. They're living proof that being a great mom and a great professional don’t have to be mutually exclusive, and their children are watching and learning from their example every step of the way.
Christine Downey:
“Being a mom—especially a single mom—has been one of the biggest challenges and greatest joys of my life,” Christine shares. “It’s something you can’t really prepare for, and it comes with a mix of laughter, tears, joy, and the occasional hiccup. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.”
Christine’s journey has come full circle. “I got lucky—I’ve got a great kid. He made being a mom not just meaningful, but honestly, a lot of fun. His heart, his energy, his kindness... it’s been such a blessing watching him grow.”
And now? “I get to see him be an amazing father.” A full-circle moment for a woman who’s done it all—and done it with love.
Holly Reynolds:
Real estate is fast-paced and unpredictable, but Holly never forgets her most important job: being a mom to Hanley (15) and Caroline (12). “Like most women, I wear many hats each day,” she says, “but none more important than being a mom.”
What she didn’t expect? That her kids would take such a keen interest in her career. “Knowing they are watching and cheering me on has made me an even better agent for my clients.” Holly's not just showing homes—she's showing her daughters what strength, determination, and passion look like in action.
Jean Gadra:
“Being a mother has been, without doubt, the greatest joy of my life,” says Jean. “Raising children is often challenging, and not without heartbreak, but it’s absolutely wondrous to see them become kind, interesting, and independent adults. I feel blessed to be their mother!”
Jean reminds us that the hard days don’t last—but the love, the pride, and the bond do. She’s built a successful career and a beautiful family, and both reflect the values she lives by every day.
Maura Regan:
For Maura, being a realtor and a mom to three boys is a nonstop juggling act—equal parts patience, quick thinking, and chaos management. “It’s a life that demands balance between big moments and small wins,” she says.
She’s often negotiating offers from the sidelines of a lacrosse game and coordinating showings with cleats in the trunk. “Some days, I even surprise myself with what I can handle,” she laughs. But through it all, she’s teaching her boys the value of hustle, hard work, and showing up—whether it’s for a client or them. “There’s nothing more rewarding than helping a family find their perfect home,” she says, “just like there’s nothing better than coming home to my own.”
Motherhood in Real Estate: The True Balancing Act ♥️🏡
There’s something uniquely powerful about being a working mom in real estate. You’re not just managing transactions, you’re managing life. And in doing so, you're showing your children what it means to be capable, resilient, and endlessly loving.
At The Sivel Group, we believe in celebrating that balance. We know the beauty of motherhood isn’t found in perfection—it’s found in presence. It’s in the morning hugs before school, the texts between showings, the pride in knowing your children are learning not just from what you say, but from everything you do.
To all the moms—on our team, in our community, and beyond…this Mother’s Day, we see you and we appreciate you.
Happy Mother’s Day 💐
