Enjoying a meal outside is always a favorite pastime of any day, and now that daylight savings is here, Spring is approaching, and that feeling of the sun on your face is around the corner, it’s becoming more of a reality! The change of weather inspires us all … and calls for a mid-day glass of vino and people-watching, which always makes life better!
Rittenhouse Square, known for its green spaces, upscale dining, shopping, farmer’s market, and park, will be home to a new Italian Restaurant called Borromini. Borromini is named after 17th-century Italian architect Francesco Borromini, whose major works include San Carlino (A Roman Catholic Church) and Oratorio dei Filippini (a famous building with a clock tower) both, in Rome, Italy. Stephen Starr is a restauranteur who has over 30 restaurants between Philly, NYC, D.C., Southern Florida, and Paris. His restaurants provide space for people all over the city to enjoy different kinds of food in very theme-driven and eclectic atmospheres.
An Italian Parc theme sounds lovely! Let’s paint the picture… It’s June, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping in Rittenhouse, and people of all ages and backgrounds are walking around enjoying life. You are sitting at a two-top with a glass of chilled Sincero in hand, laughing with a friend, when up walks the waitress delivering a chilled plate of octopus, a fresh spring mix salad, homemade tagliatelle pasta topped with shrimp, sundried tomatoes, and kalamata olives.
You look around and think, wow, life is good!
